The Tieke's are a powerful duo in the home remodeling realm. When they aren't working on home improvement projects they love walking their dog Ranger, playing pickleball and golf, and going on local adventures.
After moving to Cincinnati over two years ago, the Tieke's were looking for a home they could make their own. The Tudor-style home in Mount Lookout got on the market and the couple fell in love with it. They have done a lot of home improvement projects in previous homes, but they accepted the challenge of remodeling this new home. The Tieke's relied heavily on the expertise of Allen & Frey Builders and Remodelers to get the style and construction drawings correct to enhance the current style of the house.
These homeowners worked with Lady On The Roof® (LOTR) in the midst of remodeling their Tudor-style home. Working with the Tieke's general contractor, Lady On The Roof® worked on putting on a new roof on the porch addition. With that, LOTR also replaced the existing roof so that everything looked seamless.
"This was, by far, the largest project that we have ever completed and we learned a lot about how the process works," said Tieke family. "Our advice to anyone considering a renovation of this size would be to hire an architect to make sure that any additions and major changes are structurally sound."
During the demolition, the new homeowners discovered that some of the previous decisions made during earlier renovations were inadequate to the structure.
"With a renovation of this size, we would strongly recommend replacing the existing roof at the same time so that any potential issues could be addressed (such as rotting boards and proper ventilation)," said Tieke's. " We are very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend Lady on the Roof®."
